One-on-One Counseling

The Southeast Dallas Hispanic Chamber of Commerce offers FREE one-on-one counseling to entrepreneurs who are currently in business or would like to be.  Individuals seeking assistance with business planning, marketing, loan information or just seeking a sounding board for their ideas take advantage of this Chamber program year-round.

 

Legal Seminar Series

Seminar series addressing legal issues relevant to small business owners.  Topics include legal structure of a new business, employment law, how to successfully sue in small court, contractor vs. employees, etc.

 

Start-Up-Business Clinic

A one-day clinic that provides basic information to people interested in starting a business but who don’t have the time to participate in an extensive program like the NXLevel.  The curriculum includes topics such as:  How to Register Your Business, Taxes, City Permits and County Permits, Basics of Business Plan Writing, How to Finance Your Business, Bookkeeping, Risk Management and Financial Planning, Employment Issues for the Start Up Business, Marketing and Customer Service.

 

IRS Workshops

In cooperation with the Internal Revenue Service, the Southeast Dallas Hispanic Chamber of Commerce provides group educational tax information to its members.  IRS workshops include the following; IRS Sole Proprietor Workshop, IRS Corporation Tax Workshop and IRS Partnership Tax Workshop.

 

Access to Capital Programs

In order to offer expanded access to capital opportunities to its members and Hispanic owned businesses, the Chamber has formed a new access to capital committee.  This committee identifies and promotes access to the diverse array of consumer and business loan programs available in the market place today.
